We've made it - after something crazy like a 43-hour trip (from the time we left the hotel in Guangzhou).
Weiwei is now an American after our paperwork drill with an unfriendly and unceremonious homeland security personnel. Great, welcome to America.
Oh well, we got the stamp with her visa which is the important part.
Actually, Mr. Jones who then received her folder (after we left the stamper) was friendly enough to smile. He verbally told us that she was now an American when we asked to clarify.
In defense of the stamper, the Chinese Stampers were also a bit unfriendly at the Guangzhou train station (where we cleared to exit into Hong Kong) with the firmest stamps I've ever seen and heard! So, maybe it is a stamping thing?
Anyway, Here is Weiwei's first photo as an American. She did not seem impressed.

I need to sleep!
love,
us
Now I can officially say, congratulations!

Thanks - it was indeed nice to make it "home" to the US. I just wish immigration would have been friendlier - not the best face for the USA to put forward to arriving folks!
